Welcome to 2010!

12.11.2009

Welcome welcome to a new year, a new decade and a new start!

Many of us try our best to have regular Family Home Evenings, but sometimes it's hard to organize, plan and carry them out. Our family has had fairly regular Family Home Evenings, but Mom bore the brunt of the planning process. Our Bishop recently counseled us to share the responsibilities each week. I realized we needed to streamline our efforts in order to maintain order, while still involving the kids.

In December of 2009, my hubbs and I sat down and planned topics for our 2010 Family Home Evenings in an attempt to maintain a House of Order and to get more out of our weekly family time. This blog is intended to be a record of our journey and to share some ideas along the way.

I hope you will join us in our journey and create on of your own as we strive to make Family Home Evening a meaningful and stress-free experience.

Take a moment to look over this blog. Become familiar with the tabs along the top and then download and print your FREE family home evening responsibility chart.

And one bit of inspiration to get you started....

Regular participation in family home evening will develop increased personal worth, family unity, love for our fellowmen, and trust in our Father in heaven. It is our promise that great blessings will come to all who conscientiously plan and hold weekly family home evenings.

If we go forward with our family home evenings, our homes will be enriched, our wards and branches will grow and prosper, our lives will be purified, and the gates of hell will not prevail against us.
